Apartment Moving Checklist

Apartment moves have extra logistics beyond a standard house move:

• Book the service lift with your building management, often a week or more in advance.
• Check your lease for any move-out requirements or deposits related to moving.
• Confirm loading bay access and time restrictions with your building.
• Notify your new building of your move-in date and any access requirements.
• Measure doorways and lifts for large furniture before moving day, not after.

Missing any of these can delay your move-in day, so confirm them with your mover and building management at least a week ahead.
